My name is Mary (Genelin) Grieves. I am a life-long resident of Le Sueur, member of St. Anne’s Church and alumnae of St. Anne’s School. I graduated from the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University with a BA in Elementary Education. This marks my 31st year in education! I began my teaching career at St. Anne’s School, teaching fifth grade for 4 years. After leaving to start my own family, I came back to St. Anne’s to teach fourth grade for 12 years then kindergarten for 8 years. Currently, I teach three-year-old preschool children each morning and work as our school’s librarian in the afternoon. My husband Al and I have two sons, Lucas and Zachary, who are also St. Anne’s alums. We live in Le Sueur with our Carin Terrier, Tank. My interests include gardening and backyard birds, which spill over into my classroom. I believe as a teacher of young children, I am responsible for providing a positive learning experience. I strive to model respect, patience, and genuine care for others.
